Native Trees

a. During the summer of 1993, David oversaw the $1.5 million program to acquire over 8,000 native trees and plants as a part of the Hurricane Andrew Restoration Project. And then again in 2018, David oversaw a major restoration project to restore the community after Hurricane Irma.


b. Removing exotic trees is part of an ongoing maintenance program for our landscape maintenance teams, as well as removing exotic and noxious species from other parts of our community in conjunction with The Nature Conservancy, park officials, and state biologists.
